LINDA RAMONA FLORES
Linda Ramona Flores, 55, passed Sept. 3, 2014 at Geary Community Hospital. Linda was born June 1, 1959 in Ulm, Germany, the daughter of Garland Edwin & Rosa (Richter) Williams. She moved with her family to Junction City when she was 2 years old, and later attended Junction City Schools.
Linda worked in food service, at Smokey Hill Foundry, and at the deli at the Commissary at Ft. Riley. She also worked for Mobile Travelers, Milford State Park, as well as doing work in construction.
On March 31, 1982, Linda married Salvador Flores. He survives. Other survivors include: 2 sons, Jason Garland Jones and his wife Kelly Jones, Salina, and Michael F. Flores, Manhattan; a step-son, Salvador Flores, Jr., San Antonio, Texas; 2 daughters, Tonia Ramona Jones and Priscilla M. Flores, both of Junction City; 2 step-daughters, Gina Lopez and Jeanette J. Flores, both of San Antonio, Texas; her mother, Rosa Newman, Junction City; a brother, Ronnie Newman, Wichita; 2 sisters, Gabriela Sherraden and her husband Doug, Junction City, and Rosie Hall and husband John, Decatur, Alabama; 13 grandchildren, Michael Jones, Alisia Sarvis, Taveon Sarvis, Marcus Jones, Jayden Jones, Jasmyn Jones, Ariel Lamas, Miranda Flores, David Lee Flores, Salvador Flores, III, Sebastian Flores, DJ Flores, and Albert Flores; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father, and 2 brothers, Larry Williams and Michael Williams.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at The First Baptist Church in Junction City, with Pastor James Callaway presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda R.
