Lilly Ruth Weber, 82, of Junction City, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City. Lilly was born March 30, 1935 in Combs, Arkansas, the daughter of William Edward and Oma Dilly (Shackelford) Gabbard. Lilly attended all of her schooling in Arkansas, and graduated from St. Paul High School, St. Paul, Arkansas.
In high school, she played basketball. She was an avid K.U. Basketball fan. She was also a champion bowler. She bowled for years at Big Bowl.
She loved bird watching from her kitchen window, and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Lilly was a homemaker.
Lilly married Raymond D. Weber on May 13, 1953 in Robinson, Texas. He survives of the home. Other survivors include: a son, Mitchell Weber and his spouse Darren Blosser, Parkville, Missouri; 2 daughters, Deb Perdue and her spouse Bob, Peck, Kansas, and Diana Weber, Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Elmer Gabbard and his spouse Billie, Combs, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Helen Rockwell and spouse Bob, Abilene, Kansas, and Thelma Cooper and spouse Gilbert, Waco, Texas; and a granddaughter, Bethany Nelson and her spouse Josh, Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Highland Cemetery in Junction City. After the service at the cemetery, the family will greet friends at Stacy's Restaurant in Grandview Plaza.
