Lillie M. Brenner, 88, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Milford Cemetery. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to Homecare and Hospice of Manhattan.
Lillie was born May 28, 1928, in Miller, South Dakota, the daughter of Frank and Nina (Parker) Kerkhoff.
Lillie worked for many years as a cook at Junction City High School. After her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering as a "Pink Lady" for the Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary at the Geary Community Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church and First Baptist Church both in Junction City, KS. She was a life long blood donor with the American Red Cross.
She married Roy J. Warner of Milford, KS, August of 1951. He passed away in 1970. She later married Verland Brenner of Junction City on March 28, 1980.
Survivors include one son, Les Warner (Lisa) of Overland Park, KS; two daughers, Sharon Houston (Roger) of Milford, KS, Cathy Hoyle (Wayne) of Topeka, KS; three step-children, Myron Brenner (Nancy), Debbie Congrove(Mark) and Mark Brenner; one sister, Betty Raubuch of Chehalis, WA; twenty seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marsha Duncan and Sandy Anderson.
