Graveside services for Lillian Johanna Bragg, 107, formerly of Junction City, KS will be Wednesday, April 20, 2005, 10 a.m. at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Russ Glaser officiating. Visitation will be April 19, 2005, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Junction City. Mrs. Bragg passed away at Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln, KS on April 16, 2005. Memorial Contributions may be given to an organization of Donor's choice.
Mrs. Bragg was born October 24, 1897, Alida Community, KS to Frederick and Margareth (Christen) Ritter. Her first husband Harry Norton preceded her in death, she later married Harlin Bragg, June 4, 1924, he preceded her in death October 17, 1977. Mrs. Bragg resided in Junction City until she was 101 years old, she then moved to Lincoln, KS.
She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ a 48 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, 25 year member of the Eagles Auxiliary, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Home Literary Club and HDU. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center in Junction City as well as Lincoln and attended church in both towns. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, she loved to fish. She was a homemaker and a caregiver for a cousin and a brother, as well as her mother. She was a storyteller and loved people. She spent the past year and a half at Mid America Nursing Home in Lincoln where she was content and loved the people.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty McCullough and husband John of Lincoln, KS, Shirley Gillen and husband Jerry of Junction City, KS 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike McCullough, Ty McCullough, Toby McCullough, Jeff McCullough, Tom Gillen, Austin Murphy, Tegan McCullough, Tyler Stalder, Josh McCullough, Toby-Michael Beliveau, Dylan McCullough and Jerrad Gillen.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose O'Neil, Helen Warthen and Emma Dundon, three brothers, Fred, Emil and Sam Ritter.
