Levy Nelson, 99, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation will take place. A graveside service with military honors will take place 10 a.m. March 2, 2022, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.
Levy was born to the late Tullie and Maggie (Turner) Nelson on February 19, 1922 in Silas, Alabama.
Levy served in the United States Army. He worked for the foundry in Junction City and the Junction City Transportation Company.
Left to cherish Levy's memories are one brother Samuel (Veinshane) Nelson of San Antonio, TX, one sister Delsena (Charles) Philon of Silas, AL, three sisters-in-law Bobbie Jean (Fred) Nelson of Pascagoula, MS, Linda (James) Nelson of Atlanta, GA, JoAnn (Gus) Nelson of Mobile, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Gus Nelson, Fred Nelson, James Nelson and one sister Catherine McGrew.
