Leverious (Lee)Dewitt Maston

Leverious (Lee) Dewitt Maston, 74, of Junction City, passed away January 27, 2005 at Salina Regional Health Center. Graveside services will be Friday, February 4, 2005, 11 a.m. at Fort Riley Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Joe Belardo officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2005, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be with full military honors.

Mr. Maston was born October 5, 1930 in Shuqualak, MS, son of Dewitt and Marie (Murray) Maston. He served in the US Army and retired as an E-6 with 22 1/2 years of service. Mr. Maston then worked civil service in post finance for over 20 years until his retirement.

Mr. Maston married Janie Shimako Miyasawa May 9, 1951 in Yokohama, Japan; she preceded him in death July 17, 2004.

Survivors include his two sons, Leverious (Lee) Maston, Jr. and A James Maston both of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Judy Wilson of Louisville, KY; brother, Freddie Maston of E. St. Louis, MO; and two sisters, Betty Maston of Bakersfield, CA and Barbara Maston of Compton, CA; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lonnie Maston; and sister, Idella Maston.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Wilson, Ricky Wilson, II, Lee Maston, A James Maston, A James Maston, II, and Paul Maston.
