Les Flower, 60, of Junction City, KS passed away on December 23, 2015 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place and A Celebration of Life will be held on January 2, 2016 at The Elk's Lodge from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has designated memorial contributions to the National Fallen Firefighter's Foundation, P. O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727, The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 and the Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.
Les was born April 20, 1955 Junction City, KS to Robert and Alice (Lewis) Flower. In 1976 Les went to work full time as an EMT and Firefighter at the Junction City Fire Department and was there for 32 years until retiring as a Captain. He also worked in the family business, Flower Jewelers and made jewelry for years for friends, family and charities. Les loved working outdoors on his property with his cats and dogs by his side.
Les married the love of his life Diana Rezutek April 23, 2005 she survives of the home.
Les will be missed more than we can say especially by his son, Christopher Thompson (Evita); by his daughter, Erica Kegley with grandsons, Timmy,JT and Jonathan and by his son, Daniel Flower (Victoria), his daughters, Marcia Locke and her husband Bryan with grandson Lance; Elizabeth Meadows and her husband Garry with granddaughters, Brie (Jerry), Amayah and Stellah; Heather Thompson and Ashley Dellen. He will also be missed by his brother, Bob Flower, Jr. (Sarah). He is also survived by his brother W.G. Flower.
