Private family graveside services for Leona B. Glick, 95, Junction City will be held at St. Mary's cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. No visitation is planned. Mrs. Glick passed away May 29, 2008 at Valley View Professional Care Center. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
Leona was born January 1, 1913 in Fort Des Monies, Iowa the daughter of Peter and Cora Mae (Wilson) Crabtree. She came to Fort Riley, KS in 1922. She attended Junction City schools and graduated in1931, Leona was employed at the Post Photographic Studio for 12 years. She started her own studio in 1945, retiring in 1975.
Leona was a member of the First Christian Church, National Professional Photographers and the Kansas Professional Portrait Photographers.
She is survived by her niece Carole (Addis) Ralston, Plymouth, Indiana, her friend and caregiver Elizabeth Hobling, Junction City, KS.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Julia F. Addis and brother, Earl D. Crabtree.
