Leon Tarver

A memorial service for Leon Tarver, 75, Junction City, will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2006, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with the Reverend Audrey Toombs officiating. Cremation has taken place.



Leon was born May 22, 1931, in Omaha, Texas the son of Clifford and Connie (Bett) Tarver. He has resided in Junction City, Kansas the past two years.



Leon was a heavey equipment operator. He attended the Shiloh Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas.



Leon was married to Eva Tarven. She resides in Wichita Falls, Texas.



Other survivors include one son Jerry Tarven of Dallas, Texas and three daughters Linda Evans of Army Hall, Texas; Debbie Tarven of Dallas, Texas and Vonda Smith of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by one brother Verlin Tarver of Junction City, Kansas.



He was preceded in death by his parents seven brothers and five sisters.
