A funeral service for Leo "Dale" Weiler, 67, Junction City, will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Reverend Matthew Glasgow from the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Cremation will follow the service with future inurnment and private family graveside services at the Wamego City Cemetery in Wamego, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Alcoholic Anonymous c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street Junction City, Kansas 66441.



Leo was born September 1, 1940, in Wamego, Kansas the son of Willis Harold and Lorraine (Boyce) Weiler.



Dale worked as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for many years. He was involved with the Alcoholic Anonymous Group that met at the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City. Dale served in the United States Air Force.



He married Hazel E. Halligan July 25, 1973. She passed away March 30, 2003.



Survivors include two brothers, John Jackson of Jeffersontown, KY. and Don Jackson of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by one sister, Mary M. Young of Roseboro, NC.
