Services for Lenke Christine "Chris" Fox , 83, Junction City, KS will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Friday, April 26, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Matthew Glasgow will officiate. Chris died April 23, 2002 at her residence. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25,2002, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Burial will be at Fort Riley Cemetery, Fort Riley, Kansas. She graduated from Brownsville High School in 1936, Brownsville, PA Marriage Date & Place: Married Claude Turner Fox, December 23, 1967 in Junction City,KS, he preceded her in death March 24, 1978.
Chris moved to Junction City in 1964, she was the Program Coordinator for USO for 12 years, she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross for over 45 years, volunteering at Irwin Army Hospital and then in Junction City. Chris
was a recipient of the Quiet Hero Award for donating over 14 years of her time to the Good Samaritan Home, she held the position of Nursing Home Chairman and was also named Volunteer of the Month September, 25, 1988, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, VFW Auxiliary, #1594, American Legion Auxiliary, #45, former member of the Geary County Mental Health Association, former
member of the Geary County Fish and Game Association, former member of AUSA,
former member TREA Auxiliary.She is survived by One Son; Reverend Robert W. Piatt of Osaka, Japan and One Grandson,preceded in death By: Parents, Two Brothers; Paul Fodor and Aleck Fodor, Two Sisters;Elizabeth Basko and Irma Korchick.
