Lawrence was born May 20, 1963, in Albuquerque, NM, the son of Lawrence James and Ozella (Brown-Bey) Gillespie.
Survivors include his father Lawrence of Junction City, KS; one daughter, Tamarra Gillespie of Columbus, OH; one sister, Kim McGriff of Portsmouth, VA.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ozella on April 4, 2020.
