Lawrence Alcott, Jr.

Lawrence W. Alcott, Jr., 77, of Junction City, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born May 22, 1936 in New Milford, Pennsylvania, the son of Lawrence W. & Nadine Randall Alcott, Sr. Lawrence attended school and graduated from Sidney High School, Sidney, New York in 1953. Lawrence was a retired Master Sgt. In the U.S. Army.
Lawrence married Elfriede Alcott on Nov. 5, 1957 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Larry Alcott and wife Kimberly, Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Lorraine Sueppel and husband Lawrence, Copperas Cove, Tx.; a brother, Richard Alcott and wife Sue, Binghamton, N.Y.; and 3 grandchildren, Justin & Christopher Alcott, and Jessica Sueppel. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Manhattan. Military Honors will be provided by U.S. Army Honor Guard from Ft. Riley. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Friends of Animals. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in charge of arrangements.
