Memorial services for Larry J. Shane,57,of Junction City, KS will be held at First Christian Church, Saturday,July 26, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jim Beashore of the Edwardsville Christian Church will officiate. Larry died July 21, 2003 at Mercy Health Center, Manhattan, KS . A Memorial gathering will be at First Christian Church at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2003. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Larry was born January 7, 1946, Junction City, KS to Walter and Irene (Berggren) Shane. Married Mary Hartung January 11, 1969 at Junction City, KS. Larry was a lifelong resident of Junction City, KS, he was a
truck driver, he attended First Christian Church and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a Harley enthusiast and a member of ABATE of Kansas, he was an avid pool player and played on many teams, he was also a member of the American Legion. Survivors: Wife: Mary Shane of Junction City, KS, Mother: Irene Shane of Junction City, KS, One Son: Brant Shane of Junction City, KS, Two Brothers: Warren Shane and Russell Shane, both of Junction City, KS, Two Sisters: Linda Cooksley of Topeka, KS and Marilyn Shelton of Junction City, KS.Preceded In Death By: Father. Organist will be Roxie Johnston, Vocalist will be Stuart Workman and a special dance performance will be by Shari Augustine, Niece.
