Services for Larry J. Schoendaller, 45, of Junction City, Kansas will be conducted at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower, Junction City, Kansas on July 13, 2010, at 3 p.m. with Vicar Chris Schultz, officiating. Internment will follow the services at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Larry passed away on July 8, 2010, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2010, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Penwell Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, Kansas.
Memorial contributions have been designated to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 9667 Clark's Creek Road, Junction City, KS 66441 and Oncology Department at Mayo Clinic, c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
Larry was born in Junction City on November 25, 1964, the son of Adam and Wilma (Befort) Schoendaller. He was a pioneer of St. Xavier Catholic School, graduating in 1983. Larry married Brenda Kay Hakala on June 8, 1985, in Junction City, Kansas.
Larry was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He has lived his entire life in Junction City and worked in the construction field for 25 years. He was recently employed by Valley View Senior Life.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, and daughter, Molly, of the home. Other survivors include: his mother, Wilma Schoendaller, Junction City; three sisters, Lou Ann (Danny) Milleson, Chapman, KS; Betty (Donald) Anders, Enterprise, KS; Mary Kay (Jim) Stites, Junction City, KS. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Schoendaller, maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Befort and paternal grandparents, Andrew and Margaret Schoendaller.
Pallbearers will be Dano Milleson, Kevin Cain, Andy Stites, Joe Alonzo, Casey Boyer and Nathan Stanfield.
