Larry Lee Heller of Junction City, passed away at Geary Community Hospital on Dec. 26, 2015. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday Jan. 9, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, 624 N. Jefferson, with Pastor Donald Noah Sr. officiating. Following the service there will be a gathering for family and friends at the American Legion, 201 E. 4th St.
Larry was born March 17, 1950, in Concordia, Kansas, to Wayne and Delia Heller. He was raised in Junction City by Willis and Delia (Heller) Kiefer. He married Patty Ready and they had 4 children and they later divorced. He married Linda Carrier and had 1 child; they later divorced. He married Shirley Terry Tavares Heller and had 1 child; they later divorced.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards, playing dominos, dancing, dining out and time with his family, going to grandchildren's games, watching football, cruising around, and pulling pranks.
He worked for More Sand Company for several years. He worked for KCI road runner for a little while. He became a truck driver and drove truck for 20 years until moving back to Kansas and he later retired.
He is survived by his six children Teresa (Heller) Tripodi and her 3 children of Junction City, KS; Larry Heller II and wife, Kayla of Wichita, KS; Mary Laxson and husband, Doug of Ft. Hood, TX; Steven Heller and wife, Rachel of Junction City, KS; Crystal Heller of Hutchison, KS; and Joshua Heller of Corpus Christi, TX. He is also survived by his father, Willis Kiefer and his aunt, Darlene Mossburgh, and husband, Robert of Leavenworth, KS. and his siblings: Wayne Heller and wife Roxie of Junction City, KS; Terry Heller and wife Sue of Old Fort, N.C.; Xavier Kiefer and wife, Cathy of Junction City, KS; Jenny Noah and husband, Donald Sr. of Olathe, KS; Deborah Yelton and husband, Gary of Auxvasse, MO. He has 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Heller and his mother Delia Kiefer; also by his former spouse Shirley Terry Tavares Heller of Corpus Christi, TX.
