Funeral services for Larry "Pete" Alvan Garland, 69, White City, KS will be held at 2p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue with Deacon Christian Schultz officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel Burial will follow at Skiddy Cemetery. Larry passed away February 5,at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, KS. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Animals, PO Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441
Larry A. Garland was born July 14, 1940 in Junction City, KS the son of Alvan L. and Alberta C. (Moyer) Garland. He started his life in White City, KS then moved to Grandby CO, and returned to White City, KS.
Larry served in the Korean War, then went on to own his own business Western Radio and TV, and worked for Carlyon & Sons Inc.
Larry is survived by his Aunt Patsy Moyer of rural Geary County, and many cousins.
