Larna Cade, 64, of Junction City, KS passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her home surrounded with her family. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the VFW Post # 8773 1215 S. Washington Street in Junction City. Chaplain Bob Skjegstad with Brookdale Hospice in Salina will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the VFW. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Larna was born July 27, 1950, in Junction City, KS the daughter of Horace Ellis and Odessa Cade.
Larna was a homemaker. In 2005 she went back to school and completed her high school diploma.
Survivors include her daughter, Latonya M. Hallenbeck of Junction City, KS. Other survivors include three sisters, Harlene Gilliam of Los Angeles, CA, Anita I Bothwell of Stafford, VA and Aletha M. Carter of AZ, one brother, Russell T. Carter of Junction City, KS, two grandsons, Vincente J. Carter of Atlanta, GA and Quayshawn D. Hallenbeck of Pittsburgh, PA. Other survivors include six nieces and nephews, many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Odessa Carter and one sister Chiquito.
