Lanthia E. Ross, 83, of Enterprise, KS, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Abilene, KS. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Fort Riley Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street Junction City, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to the organization of the donor's choice.
Lanthia was born October 29, 1934, in Whitewood, VA, the daughter of William and Ethel (Ward) Jewell.
She married Dennis Grant Ross December 22, 1956, in Apple Creek, OH. He passed away December 26, 1996.
Lanthia was a homemaker. She enjoyed antiques, auctions, cake decorating and was an avid KU fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Kelly William Ross and his wife Karla of Solomon, KS and Kerwin Grant Ross and his wife Tony of Chino Valley, AZ. She is survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
