Lana C. Gaddis, 81, formerly of Junction City, KS passed away on April 23, 2011 at Chapman Valley Manor. Cremation is planned with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the Chapman Valley Manor, 1009 N. Marshall, Chapman, KS 67431.
Lana was born May 10, 1929 in Alabama to Jess and Bernice Gaddis. As a child she traveled with her father and together they performed and sang on local radio shows. Later in life she was a homemaker and was very devoted to raising her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters; Denise Johnson and husband Travis of Chesapeake, VA, Sandra Roberts and husband Willie of Junction City, KS, one grandson, Derek Johnson also of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by the loving and caring staff at Chapman Valley Manor they were a family to her as well.
