Kimberly Ann Clews, 51, of Wamego, passed away on December 13th, 2013 in Junction City, Kansas. She was born on August 10th, 1962 in Hays, Kansas, to Leroy and Faye (Cummings) Clews. She was a 1981 graduate of Hays High School. She also graduated from the Hays Academy of Hair Design. She had been previously employed by Dillons in Hays and Salina, Kansas.
Kimberly was a girl scout leader in LaCrosse, Kansas. She had her own business, Kimberly's Creations, and made chocolates and mints for special occasions. She was a foster parent for cats and dogs for the Humane Society in Riley County.
Kimberly loved animals, crafts, cooking, fishing and outdoor activities.
Survivors include her sister Diana Pfannenstiel and husband Kenneth of Hays; niece, Sara Mahoney and husband Matt and great-niece, Maeve of Merriam, Kansas; nephew Kevin Pfannenstiel and wife Tanda and great nephew Jaxson, and great niece Lexi of Broomfield, Colorado. She is also survived by her companion, Robert Barber of Junction City, Kansas and his family Darold, Donovan, Starleena, and Theodor; and her beloved cat Tabitha.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Kimberly's life at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Presbyterian Church in Wamego, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Kimberly's honor to the Wamego Presbyterian Church (601 Elm St. Wamego, KS 66547), or to the Humane Society of Riley County (P.O. Box 1202 Manhattan, KS, 66505).
