Kenneth W. Witt

Kenneth W. "Ken" Witt, 67, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Via Christi Village in Manhattan, KS. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Geary Community Healthcare Foundation or to the Geary County Fish and Game.

Ken was born October 12, 1949, in Junction City, KS, the son of Cornelius and Leota (Christensen) Witt.

He married Cathy Owens October 18, 1969, in Junction City, KS. She passed away January 5, 2011.

Ken worked telecommunications with United Telephone for many years. He later worked for the Phone Connection and Geary Community Hospital. He was a member of the NRA.

Survivors include two daughters, Sara Witt and Kari Barnes both of Junction City, KS; two brothers, Robert Witt of Junction City and Gary Witt of Branson, MO; four grandchildren, Connor Klamert, Emily Barnes, Colin Barnes and Dylan Barnes all of Junction City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cathy and sister Jan Darcy.
