Kenneth "Ken" Dale Waner, 66, of Junction City died January 30, 2019 at Salina Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 8 2019 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Kyle Berens officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Vigil service will start immediately following. Memorial contributions have been designated to St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Kenneth was born March 8, 1952 to George Wilfred and Wanda Lee (Haviland) Waner. He was a 1972 graduate of Junction City High School. He worked for U S Railway-Millennium Railway as a Supervisor, retiring after 30 years. He loved to do woodworking and made canes and donated them for many organizations in the community. He loved to ride his Harley on a beautiful day. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Wanda Waner of Junction City, KS; his sister, Teresa (Randy) Dekoter of Perry, IA; his brother, Andy Waner of Phoenix, AZ; five nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Wilfred and one brother, James Richard Waner.
