Kelly Ryan Edwards, 28, of Junction City, KS, passed away on July 22, 2018.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street, Junction City, KS. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Fort Riley, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, KS.

Kelly was born on September 8, 1989, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Kevin and Kimberly (Bennett) Edwards.
He joined the United States Army and proudly served for over 8 years as a Cannon Crew member (13B10). With his military service, Kelly earned many awards and decorations that include, but are not limited to:
Iraq Campaign Medal W/ Two Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Unit Commendation (2nd Award), Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), and the Combat Action Badge.
He will be dearly missed.
Kelly is survived by his loving family: wife Crystal, daughter Mikynzie, and son Jaxyn of Junction City, KS; his father Kevin and wife Milly Edwards of Cookeville, TN; his mother Kimberly and husband J.B. Dyer of Cookeville, TN; his brother, Kacy Edwards of Cookeville, TN; best friends Deven Morris of Cookeville, TN, and Joe Lusk of Junction City, KS; and a host of loving extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Catherine "Kay" Edwards
