Kathryn Meyer Rombeck

Services for Kathryn Meyer Rombeck, 86, of Junction City, KS will be Monday, February 26, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Xavier Catholic Church, Father Al Brungardt will officiate, Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 24, 2002, 6:00 p.m. to 8.:00 p.m. with a 7:30 vigil service at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the St. Mary's Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 833, Junction City, KS 66441 or St.Xavier Catholic Church, 218 N. Washington, Junction City, KS 66441. Kathryn died February 20, 2002 at Geary Community Hospital. She was born May 15, 1915 at Chapman, KS to Michael and Mayme (Miller) Meyer, she graduated High School in 1933. She married James Rombeck on November 24, 1941 at Chapman, KS, he preceded her in death on July 1, 1996. Kathryn worked for United Telephone for 26 years and held many positions, such as training telephone operators. She retired in 1978, she was a member of the St. Xavier Catholic Church, Past President of the St. Xavier's PTA, Treasurer of the St. Xavier Athletic Association. She is survived by One Son; Michael Rombeck of Belle Plaine, KS, Two Daughters; Sharon Morales and Janice Rombeck both of San Jose, CA, One Sister; Helen Acker of Chapman, KS and Four Grandchildren. Casketbearers; Rick Holcomb, Mark Sublett, Matt Sublett, Terry Rombeck, David Rombeck and Larry Blixt. Honorary Bearers; Dick Acker and Jerry Blevins, Organist will be Sister Rosalyn Juenemann.
