Kathleen Biggs

Funeral services for Kathleen Joy Schweitzer Biggs, 59 of Junction City will be Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St., with Reverend Dr. Kenton Van officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Ms. Biggs passed away on January 20, 2011 at her home. In lieu of flowers the family requests plants, to keep in memory of her.

She was the daughter of Marvin H. and Marta B. (Dougan) Schweitzer and the sister of Rita L. Schweitzer. She was the mother of Dennis R. Biggs (wife: Debbie L. Biggs), Christopher T. Biggs (wife: Robin L. Biggs), Charles B. Biggs (wife: Samantha D. Biggs). She was the grandmother of Kristina Joy Biggs and Charles B. Biggs II and the great grandmother of Sahara Marie.

She graduated from Junction City High School in 1969. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed making crafts, fishing, camping and playing card games. Her middle name described her accurately she was a joy to be around and loved making new friends and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin and sister, Rita and was survived by, her mother Marta, three sons, daughter-in-laws, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her greatest love was to spend time with her family and friends.
