Kathie E. Johnson

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathie E. Johnson, 62, of Junction City will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at HighlandCemetery. Visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. with a vigil service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Johnson passed away at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, KS on November 10, 2007. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be given to St. Xavier Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 3, 1945 in Manhattan, KS to Glen Joseph and Mary Ann (Kelly) Colbert. She Graduated from St. Xavier's Catholic High School in 1963. She married Russell M. Johnson at St. Xavier's on August 7, 1965 he preceded her in death on November 26, 2005. Mrs. Johnson worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the St. Xavier's Circle III, she enjoyed playing Marjon and loved to travel. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her sister; Patricia Dolan and Husband Fred of Junction City, her nephews; Scott Johnson and wife Candy of Junction City and their children Josh and Sarah; Bruce Johnson and wife Kathy of Junction City and their children Brian, Stacy and Erin; Todd Johnson and wife Nancy of Junction City and their children Anne, Matt and Nick; her niece Shawn Dolan and her son, Brant and her cousin; Bridgette Moore of Topeka, KS and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-laws, Raymond Johnson and Harold Johnson and sister-in-law, Myrna Kelly.

Musicians will be Rick Munson and Susan O'Brien, Vocalists and Anita Hernandez, Organist

Pallbearers will be Bruce Johnson, Todd Johnson, Brian Johnson, Josh Johnson, Francis Sanders and Orin Auld

Honorary Pallbearers will be Frederick Dolan and Al Muenzenmayer
