A Mass of Christian Burial for Katherine L. Curry, 76, Junction City will be 10:00am Monday, August 27, 2007 at St Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Mrs. Curry passed away August 21, 2007 at Mercy Regional Medical in Manhattan, KS. No visitation is planned. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Katherine was born July 1, 1931 in Denver, CO the daughter of Herbert and Helen (McCall) Blake. She worked as a seamstress at Fort Riley for 22 Years. She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church and the women's circle at the church. She also volunteered for Open Door.
She married Alfred Curry ,he preceded her in death July 11, 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen L. Smith, Phoenix, AZ, three sons Alfred J. Curry Jr., Orlando, FL, Michael S. Curry, Colorado Springs, CO, and John D. Curry of rural Abilene, KS; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
