Services for Katherine E. Wilburn ,85, of Junction City, KS will be held at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor G. Edmond Thomas of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Katherine died February 27, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Center, 416 W. Spruce Street, Junction City, KS. Katherine was born May 6, 1917, Moberley, MO to George Wesley and Martha Mae (Brockman) Lynn. Katherine married William Lee Wilburn June 30, 1938,
Junction City, KS, he preceded her in death September 1969. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors: Two Sons; Robert Wilburn and Melvin Wilburn both of Junction City, KS, Two Daughters; Margorie Larson of Abilene, KS and Shirley Walker of Junction City, KS, One Sister; Dorothy Knox of Chapman, KS, Six Grandchildren and Eight Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Parents, Husband, One Sister; Frances Weisner, One Daughter;Ruth Rogers. Casket bearers: Walter Sanders, Matt Jackson, Dan Shrouf, Greg Knox, John Hellman and Dale Burris Honorary Casket bearers: Chris Schroeder, Chris Booth. Organist will be Florence Whitebread and the Vocalists will be Karen Thomas and Hazel Banes
