Karen A. Freelove, 46 of Fort Riley passed away on Sat., Nov. 22, 2003 at the Irwin Army Hospital at Fort Riley. Cremation has been planned with no services.
She was born June 6, 1957 in Morristown, NJ, the daughter of William and Barbara Pollay.
She married Kenneth J. Freelove on Aug. 9, 1984 in Albuquerque, NM. He survives. They moved to Fort Riley in January 2003. She was a stain glass artist and had sold some of her work. Before an automobile accident in 1991, she was a firefighter/paramedic. She had a great love for the outdoors, spent most of her spare time with family and friends. Her husband considered her passionate about other peoples welfare.
Survivors include one son, Jeremy Freelove of Golden, CO and one daughter, Janelle Rogers of Ft. Collins, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents.
