Judith Keala Awana Cline, 89, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on April 5, 2025, at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, Kansas.
She was born on August 31, 1935, to James Makia Awana and Christine Ah Heong Chun in Honolulu, Hawaii.
On May 7, 1956, she married the love of her life, Roger Harold Cline, on Oʻahu. Together, they built a life grounded in love, resilience, and devotion, traveling across the world due to military service before settling in Milford, Kansas, in 1978. Judith dedicated herself to serving others—as a nurse’s aide in Bismarck, North Dakota, a nutritionist with Kansas State University Extension, and later as a realtor with Century 21—but her greatest calling was her role within her ‘Ohana.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Fort Riley and lived a life that reflected grace, humility, and dedication to those she held dear.
Judith’s love for her ‘Ohana was the cornerstone of her life. Fiercely loyal and endlessly devoted, she offered unwavering support, compassion, and wisdom to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her selflessness and steadfast love will always be remembered and cherished.
Judith is survived by her loving sons, Roger (Lydia) Jr., James (Bada), and Russell; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Benjamin and Leo; sister Sandra; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sisters Josephine, Joanne, Joyce, Winona, and brothers Rodney, James, and Lawrence.
A visitation will be held at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will be held on the same day from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Fort Riley Post Cemetery officiated by Father Ninemire.
