Funeral services for Joylynn Rose Schlegel, 10, of Fort Riley, KS will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street with Reverend Eric Iverson of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Seeley Lake, MT officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Joylynn left us to be an Angel on January 17, 2015.
To Joylynn, nobody was a stranger. They were a friend she had not met yet. She was a very loving and beautiful little girl. She enjoyed singing in the school choir, fishing, climbing trees and making people laugh and smile. She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She loved animals of all kinds. She would let butterflies land on her hand. She will be remembered for her calming sweet spirit and big bear hugs.
Joylynn was born September 25, 2004, Missoula, MT to Jennifer V. Schlegel. Joylynn was a 4th grade student at Ware Elementary School.
She is survived by her parents; Jennifer and Steven Wheeler, two brothers; Justin and Jorren Schlegel all of Fort Riley, KS, her step-brother; Breckin Wheeler of Melbourne, FL, her maternal Grandmother; Joy Schlegel of Seeley Lake, MT, her aunts; Krista (Marshall) Myer and Melanie (Jesse) Jones all of Big Fork, MT and numerous other family members.
