Josephine Annie "Jo" Sullivan

Josephine Annie "Jo" Sullivan, 93, of Junction City, Kansas died on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Northcare Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Laurie Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jo was born March 24, 1931, in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Theodore T. and Carrie J. (Mesicek) Stanek.

The family lived in Iowa and Colorado before moving to Junction City, Kansas. In Junction City, Jo worked for U.S.D #475 and R & R Developers in Junction City, Kansas for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed baking, cooking and watching Food Network. In later life, she enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed visiting Colorado and Oklahoma.
Her family and church family were very important.

Survivors include four daughters; Diane Reasoner of Beaconsfield, Iowa, Marie Edgar (David) of Box Elder, South Dakota, Teresa Diamond of Junction City, Kansas and Kelli Bennett of Boone, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Nathan Reasoner, Jeremy Reasoner, Daniel Reasoner, Loren Edgar (Taylor), Katie Smith (Seth), Caley Geiger (Steven), Makayla Sloss (Daniel), Elizabeth Matthies (Ben) and Kathy DeShong (Brad); eleven great-grandchildren, Maliah, Claire and Scarlett Reasoner, Emilia and Lila Smith, Glenn and Gavin Geiger, James Sloss, Emmalynn Matthies, Gracie and Jacob Boone. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son-in-law, John Reasoner.
