Joseph D. Snider, 78, of Junction City, KS died at the Good Samaritan Center on September 1, 2003. Graveside memorial services will be held at Fort Riley Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Military Honors. He was born April 1, 1925 in Parsons, KS to Wilbur and Theo (Payne) Snider.
He retired from the Army as a CW3. He attended all of the K Company, 103rd Infantry 7th Army reunions. After the Army he worked for Allen's Market and starting working in Civil Service as a G2 and retired as a G11. He had 38 years of combined military/civil service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Country Kitchen Coffee Club. He graduated from Altamont High School in 1943.
He married Regina Rice on December 16, 1945 in Parsons. She survives.
Survivors include his wife; Regina Snider; One Daughter, Nancy R. Dobrzenski of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and One Son, Michael D. Snider of Spring Hill, FL, Twelve Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Brothers, Harold and Paul Snider and Two Sisters, Virginia and Regina Snider.
