John J. Song

John J. Song, 74, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Geary Community Hospital. A public visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service at Seoul Oriental Restaurant 204 Grant Ave. Junction City, KS.

John was born August 30, 1946 in Chunnam South Korea the son of Young H. and Kwi S. (Suh) Song.

John served in the Korean Army. He has lived in Junction City since 1980. He owned and operated several businesses in Junction City. He was a member of the Korean Association of Junction City. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He married Jung Hee Kim June 15, 1978 in South Korea.

Survivors include his wife Jung of the home in Junction City; one daughter, Barbara Obbink and her husband Matt of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, James Song and Jack Song both of Omaha, NE; one sister, Sue Tinney of Junction City, KS; one granddaughter, Aria Obbink of Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Patty.
