John A. Smith, Jr.

John A. Smith, Jr., 75, of Junction City, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
John was born Aug. 13, 1943 in Junction City, the son of John A. Smith, Sr. and Edith (Say) Smith. John attended Junction City schools and graduated from Junction City High School in the Class of 1960.
John worked at Geary Community Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 2014.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Junction City.
John was together with Helga T. Blazer for 46 years. She survives of the home. Other survivors include: 2 sons, Gary Smith and his wife Robin, Parker, Colorado, and Scott Smith, Chicago, Illinois; 4 daughters, Sandra Bolin and her husband Curtis, Wamego, Roberta Blazer, Wamego, Tina Darby, Newport Beach, California, and Pamela Kuhn, California; 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents.
It was Johns's request that he be cremated.
A private family service will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions in John's name can be given to the donor's choice.
Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City is assisting the family with the arrangements.
