John Russell Kile

John Russell Kile, 64, of Junction City passed away at his residence on Jan. 17, 2009. John was born Feb. 9, 1944 in Howell, MI to Edward and Mary (Cotter) Kile. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1967 and was stationed at Fort Riley, KS he was a longtime resident of Junction City. He married Ora Kay Kile in Nov. 1966 and they later separated in Sept. 1988. Through out his time in the Junction City area he held numerous jobs which consisted of working for the Junction City Police Department from 1967-1974 with a year break to go back to Michigan.

He then worked at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Center as a security guard from 1974-1977 and the Geary County Sheriff's Department from 1980-1982. John moved to California in 1988 to work as a construction worker, he met Juanita Stroud while living in Gridley, CA and they were married Dec. 26, 1998. John moved back to the Junction City area in 2007 after the death of Juanita. John will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his daughter Kristy Dawn and husband Steven Wesley Carver and son Kevin Daniel Kile, four grandchildren; Meaghen Danielle Palacio, Jessica Rose Palacio, Anthony Michael Carver and Kaitlyn Renee Carver all of Warrensburg, MO, step-mother; Shirley Jean Kile, sister; Veronica Lee Osborn, brother Edward Alonzo Kile all of Las Vegas, NV, brother; Kenneth Karl Kile of Junction City, KS, he is also survived by his children's mother Ora Kay Kile of Warrensburg, MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Kile, brother; James Robert Kile and his father Edward Alonzo Kile.

Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel assisted the family with cremation arrangements no services are planned.
