John Rago

John Rago, 93, Junction City passed away January 31, 2012 at Geary Community Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street, Friday, February 3, 2012, 6p.m. to 8p.m. with rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Rago was born May 19, 1918, Junction City, Kansas to Tony and Rachel (Villani) Rago. He graduated from Junction City High School where he excelled in academics and sports.

Associated with Rago Food Center, he was a farmer and an avid gardener and shared his vegetables with many in the community.

He is survived by his sisters; Ruth Rago and Josephine Rago both of Junction City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; Louis, Peter and Leonard Rago and his sister, Lena Rago.
