John Patrick "Pat" Higgins, 64, of Junction City, passed away on January 28, 2017 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 10:00 am, at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Father Merlin Kieffer officiating. Graveside Service will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Friends of Animals: PO Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.
Pat was born on October 21, 1952, in Jackson County, Missouri to John and Florence (Reichert) Higgins.
On January 31, 1994 he married Cynthia Brown in Covington, Louisiana. Cynthia and Pat moved to Junction City, Kansas, in 1997 and have resided there ever since.
Pat is survived by his loving Wife, Cynthia, his Two Daughters, Shelly (Terry) Mosley of Junction City, KS and Christy (Mark) Trojan of MO; One Son, Cecil Dowden of Ponchatoula, LA; Four Sisters, Mary Susan (Jim) Williams of MO, Patricia Ellen Jachetti (Russ) of Metairie, LA, Kathleen Elizabeth (Bob Ferguson) Higgins of MO, and Virginia Ann Higgins of Breaux Bridge, LA; Four Granddaughters, Maddie Mosley, Emma Mosley, and Ariana Smith of Junction City, KS, and Delaney of LA, and Five Grandsons, Dakota Mosley and Patrick Smith of Junction City, KS, Justin and Aiden Dowden of Covington, LA, and Max of MO.
He was preceded in death by his Father, John Robert Higgins, Mother, Florence Ada (Reichert) Higgins, Two Brothers, James Timothy Higgins and Robert Brian Higgins, and Daughter Holly Smith.
Dove Cremation and Funeral Service of Junction City is assisting the family with arrangements.
