Johanna H. Moyer

Funeral services for Johanna Moyer, 76, of Junction City, KS will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Zion United Church of Christ with Pastor Russ Glaser officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be held October 8, 2008, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Mrs. Moyer passed away October 3, 2008 at Kansas University Medical Center. Memorial contributions may be given to the Zion United Church of Christ, 1811 McFarland Road and/or United Services Organization in c/o the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel.

Johanna was born September 18, 1932 in Dresden, Germany the daughter of Alfred and Gertrud Bieberstein. Johanna worked at Waters Hardware in Junction City for 24 years and was respected for her sense of humor, dedication to hard work and positive attitude. She was greatly loved by her friends and family and she will be greatly missed.

She was married to Calvin F. Moyer, Sr. on February 8, 1956 in Germany he preceded her in death September 29, 1992.

Johanna is survived by her best friend Alex Lee, her four sons; Calvin Jr. and wife Kay of McPherson, KS, Hank and wife, Faunett of Orlando, FL, Ken and wife, Anna Marie of Merriam, KS and Paul and wife, Jackie of Wasilla, AK, her brother Juergen Bieberstein and wife, Anita of Karlsruhe, Germany, seven grandchildren; Kealia, William, Garrett, Jacqueline, Alex, Seth and Trenton and one great-grandchild, Lilly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
