Joe E. Anderson, Sr., 86, of Junction City, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Valley View Senior Life Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Church of Our Saviour United Methodist, 1735 Thompson Drive with Pastor Joyce Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Riley Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6p.m. to 8p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. Memorial contributions in Joe's memory may be made to the Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research, 1 Chalmers Hall Kansas State University,1700 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502.
