Jimmy R. Devin, 80, Junction City, KS passed away on October 31, 2012 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 10a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Patty Brown-Barnett officiating. Memorial contributions have been designated to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd., Topeka, KS 66604.
Jimmy was born May 17, 1932, Locust Grove, OK to James O. and Vena (Armes) Devin. He served in the U S Air Force during the Korean War. He was a resident of Junction City for most of his life and worked as a Route Salesman until retiring.
He is survived by his mother Vena Rowbotham of Junction City, two sons; Michael D. Devin and Trent R. Devin both of Stillwater, OK, his daughter, CJ Devin of Tulsa, OK, his brothers; Gary (Mary) Devin of Junction City and Paul Devin (Sally) of Des Moines, IA, his sisters; Wanda McRae of Junction City and Lavena Travis of MI.
He was preceded in death by two daughters; Cindy Devin and Brenda Sue Devin and one son, Jimmy R. Devin, Jr.
