Jeanne E. Mika, 52, of Junction City, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home. Jeanne was born April 11, 1966 at Oakley, the daughter of Robert K and Theresa A. (Wessel) Mika.
Jeanne grew up in Junction City and graduated from St. Xavier High School. She was an animal lover and cared deeply for her pets.
She was a sales clerk at the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Junction City.
Jeanne was a life-long member of St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Survivors include: a brother, Tom Mika, Junction City; a sister, Elaine Watson and her husband Jerry, Junction City; and 7 nieces and nephews, Derek Watson, Adam Watson, Erin Watson, Erica Watson, T.J. Mika, Elizabeth Mueller, and Dana Strathman. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Fr. Kyle Berens presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Junction City. The family will greet friends on Sunday evening, January 13, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., and a Prayer Service will be at 7:00 pm., all at Johnson Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Assn., or St. Xavier Catholic Church in Jeanne's name.
