Jeanette Fortuno Felix, 28 of JunctionCity, passed away July 2, 2017, in Butler County (north of El Dorado ) as the result of an auto accident.
Jeanette, the daughter of Robert & Erlinda (Fortuno) Osgood, was born on August 21, 1988 in Landstuhl, Germany, the youngest of four children.
She graduated from Junction City High School in 2006, and in 2011 she received Magna cum laude honors from Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Finance. Luis Felix and Jeanette were married on May 30, 2010 at Saint Mary's Chapel on Fort Riley. She was a Deposit Operations Assistant at Central National Bank in Junction City and has been with the bank since 2006.
Jeanette was such a caring and generous soul, and was selfless when it came to helping others. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a highly active volunteer with the United Way of Junction City and Helping Hands. The light that she shared with everyone illuminated every heart she encountered.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Luis Augustine Felix (currently recovering from injuries incurred in the auto accident); her parents, Robert and Erlinda Osgood of Junction City; and three brothers, Daniel (Sam) of Junction City, Michael (Sara) of Irvine, CA, and Anthony of Boulder, CO; her in-laws, Raymond and Sun Cha Felix of Junction City; sister-in-law, Sunny and her husband Michael Bishop and their two children-Vivienne and Jaxson of Abilene, TX.
She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Robert & Betty Lee (Bath) Osgood of Colorado, and Bienvenido and Honorata (Los Baños) Fortuno, of Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines.
The family will greet friends on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 6:00-8:00 P.M. (prayer service at 7:00 PM) at the Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning, July 11, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Reverend Kyle Berens presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made, in Jeanette's name, to the United Way, or to St. Xavier Catholic Church, Both of Junction City.
