Jeane Frances James

Our beloved mother and grandmother Jeane F. James of Clay Center , KS was called home to be with our Lord October 26, 2009 at the age of 87. Her residents for the last 5 years was at Tri-Sun Nursing home in Windcrest TX.

She was born April 2, 1921 in Riley, Kansas to Jimmy and Bessie (Debius) Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father William (Bill) Schaubel, her loving husband, Louis D. James, and her grandson, Dennis (Denny) E. James Jr. She is survived by her son, Dennis E. James and his wife Deborah E. James of Converse Tx, daughter, Patricia D. Schott of Arkon Oh; grandchildren, Elizabeth of Arkon OH, August John of Pueblo Co, and half-sister, Judy Padgett of Manhattan KS; 3 step grandchildren, Cindy, Christopher and William of Converse Tx; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and a funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home.

Interment will be Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Fort Riley Post Cemetery, Fort Riley, Kansas under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Junction City, KS.
