Janice Darlene "Dar" Robertson age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. "Dar" was born March 3, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Marion T. and Irma E. Wallace.
She moved to Junction City, KS in 1969 and began her employment with Weary, Robertson & Davis in 1970. She later worked for her husband when he went into private practice in 1977 and continued to work with him until her death.
Dar was very active with bowling (until a back injury in 2014), golfing in the women's league at Rolling Meadows, was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (Gamma Phi Chapter) for 43 years, holding every office in the chapter, and was a member, President and Vice President of the Junction City Pilot's Club.
Dar is survived by Walter "Pete" Robertson of the home, whom she married on November 11, 1984. Other survivors include her son, Kevin Lee Fessman of Derby, KS; daughter, Cynthia Elaine Fessman of the home; step-daughter, Robyn Sumner of Leavenworth, KS; two step-sons, Peter C. Robertson of Leavenworth, KS and Walter P. "Chip" (Patty) Robertson, IV of Portland, OR; 5 Grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Fessman, Amber Poe, Samantha (Josh) Kramer, all of Topeka, KS, Sarah Robertson and Mia Robertson, both of Portland, OR; 9 Great-Grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene Floyd of El Cajon, CA and Linda Stafford of McAllen, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dar was preceded in death by her father and mother, one sister, Sharon Eshleman, two brothers, Leonard Wallace and William Wallace. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at a later date at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
A visitation with the family will take place Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, KS 66441. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday January 13, 2018 at First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Road, Junction City, KS 66441.
