Jane Ellen Morton, 81, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on November 26, 1941, Topeka, Kansas, to George and Anita (Peck) Morton.

Jane worked in food service the majority of her life, working in Kansas State office building for over 20 years. The remainder of her working life, she worked for the Topeka school district.

Jane is survived by her brother, Walter Penn (Loretto) Morton of Hutchinson, Kansas; nephew, Mark (Renee) Morton of Manhattan, Kansas; four nieces, Amy (Anthony) Surage of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Beth Morton of Fort Worth, Texas, Megan (Richard) Oswalt of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mary (Steve) Weis of Gypsum, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Allen Morton.
