James Henry Wilson, 82, of Junction City, KS, passed away on December 22, 2020. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Inurnment will take place Friday, January 22, 2021, 1pm at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, KS 66503.
James was born on May 23, 1938, in Easton, Maryland, to Noah and Edna (Wilson) Camper. He joined the United States Army and proudly served for over 15 years. During his time of service, he received many awards and decorations that included but are not limited to: the National Defense Service Medal, Marksmen (M-14 Rifle), Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/ Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter (M-16 Rifle), Vietnam Service Medal W/ 4 Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Marksman (45 Cal Pistol). After his honorable service, James worked for many years for the City of Junction City as a Fire Fighter.
James is survived by many loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
