James Thomas Hart

A Memorial service for James Thomas Hart, 66, of Junction City will be held at 10a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010, with Reverend Charles Scott officiating at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Hart passed away from this world Thursday, January 28, 2010 ercy Regional Hospital in Manhattan, KS after a two day illness. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Omaha Home for Boys, 4343 N. 52nd Street, Omaha, NE 68104.

James was born January 13, 1944 in Kinston, NC to Thad Alonza & Florence (Andrews) Hart. James was a lineman for Westar Energy for many years.

James married Mavis G. Reed June 23, 1990, in Junction City, KS she survives of the home.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Coleman of Junction City, KS, Connie Hart and Jessie Lynn Hart both of New Bern, NC, two sons, James S. Valleroy of Tampa, Fl and Michael Hart of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Shelton of New Bern, NC, and Sonny Hart of Oriental, NC and two sisters, Ann Hart-Jones of Fort Barnwell, NC and Carol Hart Salvucci of New Bern, NC. He is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leslie Hart, Sr.

James worked for Westar Energy until he retired. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge, the Shriner's , Scottish Rite, the American Legion and the Eagles.
