James Edward Hardin

September 11, 1945 — January 1, 2017

James Edward Hardin, 71, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Junction City, KS. A visitation will follow the service until 5 p.m.

James was born September 11, 1945, in Lima, OH, the son of Richard and Martha (Jervis) Hardin.

James served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked as a journeyman lineman, splicer and journeyman plumber. He was a member of the American Legion. He also served as the Vice President of the Hawgs MC in Junction City, KS. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Junction City and Lima, OH.

He married Debbra Necas April 9, 1979, in Victorville, CA.

Survivors include his wife Debbra Hardin of Junction City, KS; two sons, David Hardin of FL and Jonathan Hardin and his wife Shana of Frankfort, KS; five daughters, Dina and her husband Mark of FL, Joanna and her husband Michael of WA, Pam and her husband Travis of OH, Kathy and her husband Scott of OH, Christina and her husband Glen of TX; two brothers, Bill and John; six sisters, Pamela, Julia, Terri, Cindy, Debbie and Amy. He is also survived by an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
